Neil Kelly Company Acquires Seattle Design Build LLC 

Premiere Northwest remodeling company expands operations with fifth office, their first in Washington State

Portland, Ore. – February 18, 2011 – Neil Kelly Company announces the acquisition of Seattle Design Build LLC. Nine of the ten Washington-based employees will remain with the company, including one of the original founders, Carolyn Boardman, who will continue to oversee daily operations as general manager of the Seattle office.  Neil Kelly Company now employs 130 employees in five offices.

“This is a great fit,” states Tom Kelly, president of Neil Kelly Company. “Seattle represents a huge growth opportunity. We are already the largest residential remodeler in the Northwest and this helps to further solidify our position.”

Seattle and Portland Top Nation’s “Hot” Remodeling List

Seattle and Portland recently ranked #13 and #17 respectively on Remodeling magazine’s “Top 100” list of the hottest remodeling growth markets in the country.  “Seattle is an obvious expansion choice for us,” states Kelly. The firm’s earlier entry into the Bend and Eugene markets helped it refine its remote-location business model.

Neil Kelly Company is currently focusing on Seattle and planning on opening a new showroom in the fall of 2012. Kelly adds, “This is our first official entry into Washington, but we anticipate opening additional showrooms in the future.”
