NW Vineyard Home
This home uses many sustainable building practices, including the use reclaimed timber trusses salvaged from the bottom of the Columbia River and reclaimed maple in the stairwell. The second floor is located over a nine foot ceiling, allowing the light from the two story spaces on each end of the home to reach the center. These higher ceiling areas, coupled with operable windows high in the second floor, allow for passive ventilation.
