A classically beautiful 1926 home remodeled into an equally beautiful historic home with many of today’s comforts. The home lacked a full sized garage, complete master bathroom and a family room. The addition allowed for a double garage, large family room, a private master suite and a historically correct yet modern kitchen, while maintaining the lines, style and feel of the original house.
To keep in character with the original house the windows and exterior trims were all selected to blend seamlessly with the original details. The cement stucco siding was installed essentially the same way it was in 1926.
The kitchen incorporated a painted inset door style cabinet with honed Carrara marble countertops and subway tile backsplash, in an open design featuring the gas range alcove and the large island. The Master suite includes a large frameless glass shower, honed Carrara marble subway tile, double vanity and a walk-in closet. In all, the home is seamless and comfortable to the very last detail.
