LET’S GET BACK TO NORMAL.
Damage to your home or business property has a significant impact on your life; not just financially, but logistically and emotionally as well. We are committed to working with you and your insurance carrier to restore your property as quickly and seamlessly as possible, and with minimal stress and disruption to your life.
Neil Kelly Company has been a leader in the remodeling business for more than 70 years, and we have earned a reputation for integrity, uncompromising craftsmanship, and superior client service. While insurance restorations are more complicated than elective remodeling projects, our resources, expertise and design-build methodology enable us to work effectively with insurance carriers to negotiate and deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Where do we start?
With industry-leading tools and expertise.
Our first step is to assess the extent of the damage, and produce a comprehensive estimate for repair using Xactimate, which is the industry-standard software used to estimate property loss claims. We will then negotiate with your insurance company to come to agreement on the costs involved in restoration. From the very start, our insurance restoration experts work to streamline what can be a complicated and time-consuming process, and to ensure that your home will be restored to pre-loss condition. When we come to an agreement, the insurance company will typically issue a check to the homeowner, and with a deposit, restoration work can begin.
Putting The Pieces Back Together:
As good as new, or even better.
Prior to starting your project, we will secure competitive bids with our vetted trade partners and develop a detailed schedule based upon our initial damage assessment and construction plan. Due to the nuances of insurance work, it’s not uncommon to uncover hidden conditions, code issues and engineering complexities that require adjustments to the schedule and budget. Your project manager will remain fully engaged with you and your insurance company throughout the project, to ensure that supplemental repairs are properly processed, and keep construction moving forward.
Some homeowners wish to restore their home to better-than-pre-loss condition. While insurance companies will not fund those improvements, this can be a good opportunity to complete an change or remodel you may have been considering before your home was damaged. We can help you design and plan for any such improvements you’d like to make, and will provide a separate budget and payment structure to complete the work.
Getting The Details Right:
Working With You, Your Lender and Your Insurance Carrier.
As we complete the construction phase, your project manager will meet with you to review the work and ensure that all details have been covered. The final payment process can be somewhat complex, and often involves the mortgage lender as well as the insurance company, so we’ll be there to provide information and support until the process is complete. Your satisfaction with the end result, and your peace of mind throughout the process, are our highest priorities.
