How do existing home conditions affect remodeling costs?

Older homes often reveal surprises: outdated wiring, non-standard framing, plumbing that needs updating, or structural issues. These can add cost and time. Many of these potential issues will be revealed during our two step retainer process. But it is also recommended to set aside an additional 5% of your budget for issues we may not uncover until we are behind the walls of your home.
