Amy Hekker

Senior Design Consultant · Bend

Years at Neil Kelly: 17
Years of Experience: 31

Though family pulled Amy away from her original role as a Design Associate with Neil Kelly in Portland, she returned to join our Bend team as a Design Consultant. In the interim, she worked with Rejuvenation and also as a solo practitioner on new construction design, from house/space planning through material selections. While on her own, Amy developed an even stronger appreciation for NK’s efficient teamwork. Creating homes clients love, and doing it in a sustainable manner, are her passions. Amy’s work has been recognized with, among others, a NARI (National Assn. of Remodelers) CotY award for Residential Kitchen Design.

Juniper Woodlands Kitchen and Whole House Remodel
Whole House Remodeling • Reimagine Alfalfa, Bend, Oregon
Our client’s older sister was moving in, and the main floor needed a bedroom it didn’t have. An addition was priced out of reach, so we found the room inside the house. The kitchen moved into the old dining room, the sunroom became the dining room, and the old kitchen and laundry became a bedroom.

Modern Central Oregon Lodge Whole Home Remodel
Whole House Remodeling • Reimagine Tumalo, OR
With a clear vision from the owners and the problem-solving skills of Senior Design Consultant Amy Hekker, a dated Tumalo lodge home became a transitional farmhouse built for multigenerational living. The remodel touched every room in the house, adding a new owners’ suite converted from an enclosed porch, a grandparents’ suite designed for aging-in-place, an updated kitchen, and an attic transformed into a multipurpose retreat with a mountain-view balcony.
