How do I know when my project is complete?

Your project moves through two important milestones toward the finish line: substantial completion and final completion.

Substantial completion is reached when the majority of work is done and your space is fully usable for its intended purpose — you can cook in your kitchen, shower in your bathroom, and comfortably live in the space again. At this point, your Project Manager will meet with you to walk through any remaining items together and document them on a completion list. If you've been keeping notes along the way, bring your list to that meeting or mark items in advance with blue painter's tape so nothing gets overlooked. Once substantial completion is agreed upon, your PM will notify our accounting team that your final payment is due.

Final completion is when every last item on that list has been resolved. Your project isn't considered truly finished until that point — regardless of whether it requires a return trade visit or a delayed product delivery, we see it through.
